Write For Rights – Skriv For Liv – Café

Join us on 3rd of December from 15:00 to 21:00 at Jernbanegade 23. 1. 9000 Aalborg, for yet another day of the year when we participate in the largest letter writing marathon in the world. Write for Rights is a traditional campaign in Amnesty International where we, together with people across the world, write letters to victims of injustice, torture, and human rights abuses, to give them support in their struggles, and to pressure their governments to bring justice and protection to those in need.

We hope you will join Amnesty Aalborg on this day at our local cozy office to write a letter and speak up for these people that need our help. Our experience shows that, when the world comes together and writes millions of letters, we help many of them to receive justice and respect to their rights.

You can read up more on these cases that you can write a letter to in the following links:
(Amnesty Danmark): https://amnesty.dk/undervisning/skrivforliv
(Amnesty International): https://www.amnesty.org/en/get-involved/write-for-rights/

If you cannot attend the event on this day, you can also sign the letters online or do it from home https://www.amnesty.org/en/get-involved/write-for-rights/

We will have refreshments provided on the day and feel free to drop by whenever you can from 15:00 – 21:00, either alone or with your friends and family 🙂

Amnesty International will cover all the postal expenses for the letters we collect 🙂

”The letters I have received give me hope. When I hear about the level of support and everything that is being done for me by Amnesty International, it makes me the happiest man on earth” – Moses Akatugba

LGBTI udstilling i Nordkraft

Drop by at Nordkraft for the next days. The local Amnesty International team from Aalborg has placed an LGBTI exhibition of posters with great, interesting and some what shocking posters of information and facts about the LGBTI people and their rights across the world. Take your friends with you and share the information you learned. The exhibition is there until 20th of August.

Don’t forget, that the local Amnesty International team enjoys its activism and welcomes anyone to join in for making this world a better place to live in.

We wish you all a life with plentiful of rights and justice!                      ^75BBE2A07F5F030F9BB26B20FDBAB3677ED789E06D03404C94^pimgpsh_fullsize_distr  ^015C1A3EC74F2608CE9318EB4232776F89E535E6725A536AAF^pimgpsh_fullsize_distr^FB1B524DD5F86FB837A7D4B5B9717B8DC6CD32B32ACC011BAB^pimgpsh_fullsize_distr ^E2DEC0228C9B3250E41B33C853B239411932C55D300BB0E711^pimgpsh_fullsize_distr ^9FD641611B8636D42292388698948063AFD0544271650730B2^pimgpsh_fullsize_distr^85610C9149D9FC7730002E4DFA91C4523805829B182CF9C06F^pimgpsh_fullsize_distr  ^E2C7183EC80579F928AF1E1FEBE2F2134FBA6FB66AF1D75F23^pimgpsh_fullsize_distr^F6C8DA5142F0888FBA8FB9CC5FF9EC281F062506DB4074C52E^pimgpsh_fullsize_distr  ^ED0574658734A946515B6B0B9E4B0AA15B6D153753AA8ED696^pimgpsh_fullsize_distr This blog post was written by Edgar 🙂
